Option to send Declined or Transaction Failed emails to clients
Currently customers do not get a notification when an auto-pay transaction is declined. We should have the ability to have the system send a "Transaction Failed" email to the customer.

Right now it is a manual process to chase customers down when their automatic recurring payment method expires or is declined permanently. This should be a relatively simple process to automate - customers can be notified via email that their payment method needs to be updated.

This is a feature on QBO that is really nice, where we can see if the customer has opened, and viewed the invoice.

Late fee automation
Create a mechanism to generate late fees, automatically added to the accounting system. Following requirements: Do not alter existing invoices to avoid altering past financial periods - Likely generate a new "late fee" invoice Configurable rules to include / exclude clients, ignore certain invoices etc. Percentage based, with different percentages for different time periods Continue to generate late fee invoices until original invoice is paid

Allow customers to connect their bank accounts by authenticating with their online banking
User a service like Plaid.com or Flinks.com to allow users to connect their banking details by loging into their online banking in addition to allowing them to enter their banking information manually. This can improve Approval rates and reduce the risk of account infomation being entered incorrectly. There may be a nominal cost to this.

Custom Installment Plan
While Benji Pays offers an installment plan feature, it currently only supports selecting a single invoice at a time. This limitation makes it impractical for use cases involving multiple invoices and custom payment arrangements across a long aging period. Requested Feature Enhancement Multi-Invoice Selection: Allow users to select multiple open invoices (either manually or using filters such as age or due date). Display a running total of the selected invoice amounts. Custom Installment Amounts: Enable the merchant to define a fixed monthly payment amount (e.g., $1,000) to be charged on a fixed date each month. The system should automatically apply the payment proportionally or sequentially to the selected invoices.

Add Payment Profile & Invoices Not Sent Display to Top of Customer Profile for Quick Alerts
I’ve noticed that at the top of the Customer Profile, there’s some unused space that could be optimized to display vital alerts. This would allow us to monitor key information without needing to click through different sections, improving efficiency when checking on customer health or catching issues that may have gone unnoticed. Here are a couple of suggestions for utilizing this space: Payment Profile Alerts: Display a callout or visual cue if the customer’s payment card is expiring soon or has already expired. This would help ensure we don’t miss an important update and can address payment issues before they become a problem. Invoice Status: If there’s an issue with an invoice (e.g., invoices not sent due to email errors or human oversight), it would be helpful to show this status at the top of the profile. This could save time by preventing the need to navigate to the invoices tab and manually check the sent status for each invoice. By integrating these types of alerts, we can quickly identify and address issues directly from the customer profile, making our workflow more streamlined. I would like to be able to open the customer portal as a client (impersonate) however, limited to view only. This would be helpful in walking our clients through how to navigate the system. see what they see and be aware of any changes visually or functionally that need to be made.

Different auto-pay payment profiles for different invoice types within an account
For example, monthly recurring service fees are auto processed through ACH and other invoices for hardware purchases are auto processed to a credit card or a different ACH account. Could be based on Xero branding themes / QuickBooks Payment Terms, memo or reference field.
